The Data Logger model automates the record-keeping process. It logs the calibration data and generates traceable, tamper-proof reports, eliminating manual paperwork errors and providing cost-effective, reliable data logging necessary for meeting compliance regulations.

The time to temperature varies depending on the environment.

  • For 40/160°F (4.4/71.1°C), leave at least 10 minutes for the device to reach temperature
  • For 32°/212°F (0°/100°C), leave at least 15 minutes for the device to reach temperature
  • If it takes longer than 15 minutes, the environment or air flow may not be adequate for the device.
Make sure the device is in a room that is between 65°F (18.3°C) to 75°F (23.9°C).
  • If the Check-Set Data Logger finds an internal error or takes too long to get to temperature, an error screen will be shown
  • When getting to temperature, a progress bar will be displayed
  • When the Check-Set Data Logger is at temperature, the bottom of the screen will turn green

Currently, the Check-Set Data Logger is only available in English.

The Check-Set Data Logger can remain on for extended periods of time. In order to save power without completely shutting down the unit, the Check-Set Data Logger can be put to sleep.

Many devices are compatible with the Check-Set Data Logger, but not all may behave as expected.

We are working on expanding what devices work but currently:

  1. Keyboard and Mouse
  2. 2D Code Reader
  3. USB Flash Drives

Additional Accessories are available for maintenance or for improved performance:

  1. Calibration Wrench
  2. Check-Set Shoulder Strap
  3. Brush Kit
  4. Additional Wells

In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for the electric current (to reduce the risk of electrical shock). The device is equipped with an electric cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into a matching outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

Do not modify the plug provided. If it will not fit the outlet, have the proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.

Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. The conductor with the insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the equipment-grounding conductor. If repair or replacement of the electric cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the equipment-grounding conductor to a live terminal.

Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if in doubt as to whether the device is properly grounded.

Use only 3-wire extension cords that have 3-prong grounding plugs and 3-pole receptacle that accept the device’s plug. Repair or replace damaged or worn cord immediately.

Tel-Tru warrants each product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for one year from date of manufacture. Please see our full product warranty at Section 8, Warranty, of our Terms and Conditions policy.

Please keep the original carton and packing materials for re-certification service returns. Carefully pack your calibrator when shipping it back for re-certification service.

Traceable calibration is essential to prove that your process temperatures—like pasteurization or cooking—meet regulatory requirements (e.g., FSMA). The Tel-Tru Check-Set Calibrator Data Logger provides a traceable, digital record of verification, offering the data integrity required to maintain compliance and avoid costly product loss.

The Check-Set Calibrator uses a highly stable, temperature-controlled dry block to create a precise reference temperature. This method is faster, easier, and more accurate than traditional ice baths, eliminating the common errors associated with making a true 32°F (0°C) slush bath, improving efficiency across your facility.

There is no maximum for the number of employees and probes that can be added to the Check-Set Data Logger.

To ensure continued accuracy and maintain regulatory compliance, it is standard practice to have your calibrator recertified annually. Tel-Tru offers a quick and reliable Re-Certification Service for the Check-Set, ensuring your unit is always traceable to national standards.

Yes. The Tel-Tru Check-Set Calibrator is designed with multiple probe holes of various diameters to accommodate a wide range of stem lengths and diameters, allowing you to quickly and accurately verify the performance of virtually all your digital, dial, and RTD thermometers.

10GB of storage dedicated to record keeping & it can hold 10 million records.

1GB limit to both amount of employees and devices, approximately 1 million records.

There is a 255 character limit for Employee names and device names/ID numbers. It is recommended that you have 9 characters or less due to the size of the text box on the screen. However, all characters will be shown in the data export.

Currently, USB is the only way to transfer data off the unit.

Data is stored on an internal SD card. If the device is damaged there is a good possibility we can restore the data depending on the severity.

Yes, stepped stem thermometers or step-down probes are compatible with the Check-Set Calibrator. This has been tested and confirmed by the Tel-Tru engineering team.
