Barbecue Thermometer, Black Dial BQ300, 3 inch dial and 2-1/2 inch stem

Last fall, I purchased a meat smoking book by Aaron Franklin (Texas, Franklin Barbecue). I recently purchased a Oklahoma Joe’s smoker as well. In Aaron’s book he recommends the BQ300, and uses it in his smokers. As a Master Smoker and business owner, I trusted him in his opinion and purchased the BQ300....and love the accuracy of the unit. I will continue to use the Trutel products in all of my smokers.

I had one of these for years, then due to my carelessness it was smashed during a move. I didn't even look for something else. I wanted that same one. It is accurate and easy to read even from my recliner through the glass door I can monitor it on the patio.
