Tel-Tru Manufacturing is adding a Tool Maker to the Engineering Team. This position supports the maintenance and introduction of new dies for the fabrication and assembly operations and works closely with engineering professionals on a daily basis. Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Design and build new dies for punch press (fabrication area)
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing dies
  • Perform regular maintenance (sharpen, polish, etc.) on all dies
  • Design and build tooling for assembly tools of various products
  • Follow designs provided by Engineering, as required, to build assembly tools
  • Repair or replace assembly tools as needed
  • Provide support for all factory operations, including fabrication, NCN, tubes, bimetal assembly/production, electronics assembly
  • Machine prototype components based on Engineering designs; provide design suggestions as needed
  • Machine short-run production components (sanitary stem assemblies, shatterproof cases, tuna handles, etc.), as needed
  • Recommend repairs to tooling as needed and repair damaged or worn tools to bring to an acceptable condition
  • Work with Quality Assurance with metrics and testing repairs
  • Document tooling activities and repair histories and participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years production tool and die design and manufacture
  • Proven proficiency with use of lathes, mills, grinders and other tool room equipment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with personnel at all levels


  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have NYS Tool and Die Journeyman papers or equivalent experience


Tel-Tru Manufacturing is in search of a Punch Press Set Up Operator.  In addition to the responsibilities, below, this position will work closely with the Fabrication Supervisor to assure safety, production goals and improvements are achieved daily, assist in the Shipping and Receiving Department, and will work to continuously improve the efficiency of the Fabrication Department.  This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have Punch Press experience.  Tel-Tru Manufacturing offers competitive compensation and benefits, as well as, the ability to work with seasoned manufacturing professionals

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Sets up and operates Punch Press, and keeps daily inspection sheets and maintenance records
  • Set up and run other presses in the department, as needed
  • Coordinates Die Maintenance and Repair with the Tooling Department
  • Performs quality assurance inspection as built into the processes
  • Monitors inventory via KanBans for timely manufacture
  • Works with Fabrication Supervisor on specification and purchase of new equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains all fabrication equipment with assistance of maintenance and Fabrication Supervisor

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of Punch Press Set Up and Operation
  • Lift truck experience helpful, but not required
  • Knowledge of manual lathe, and mill operation
  • General knowledge of maintenance and degreasing operation
  • Ability to communicate across teams and departments
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong knowledge of Safety principles
  • Strong computer skills

Tel-Tru Manufacturing is looking to hire a part-time Customer Service Specialist.  This position provides a high level of support to Tel-Tru external clients to include domestic and international customers, original equipment manufacturers, distributors and prospective customers.  Regular hours for this position are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.  Candidates should be flexible to full time hours based on business needs.  Qualified candidates may apply via our online portal.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Performs all Customer Service-related work including the handling of customer communications, order entry, RMA, Credits.
  • Ensures that customers are satisfied and their needs are fulfilled by responding to daily inquiries/requests via phone, fax and e-mail.
  • Provides customer support on how to use Tel-Tru’s products properly.
  • Processes International requirements.
  • Promotes Tel-Tru’s products and Services and screens potential new customers.
  • Contact Tel-Tru suppliers for price quotations on resale products.
  • Provides sales quotations to customers, as required, utilizing Company sales software.
  • Works as a liaison with other departments in satisfying customer product and delivery needs.
  • Attends sales meetings to gain understanding of pending projects
  • Completes, maintains and processes complex orders including documentation and order entry into ERP system.
  • Maintains RMA system and advises customers of dispositions.
  • Maintains compliance of departmental processes and procedures
  • Supports Accounting Department by contacting customers regarding payment of prepays and open terms, delinquencies and shipment holds.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Two to four years Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong computer skills to include proven proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook, Internet, and ERP systems
  • Excellent math skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Must be able to grow relationships
  • High level of sense of urgency when supporting internal and external customers
